We had already had a few false start penalties, holding, etc and if we would have gotten one trying to go one more play we would have been out of field goal range so yeah, I have to agree with him on this one, smart decision. He said he was gonna take it out of the refs hands and let the players (fg unit) decide it and he was right, except they allowed penetration and the rest is history.

As far as the whole penalty throwing the helmet ordeal, it should not have been called.
from what was said, it sure sounded like to me he was saying he was afriad the refs were gonna make up a call to set UT back

if he was afraid his players would screw up, thats different
but he made it seem like he was afraid the refs would screw UT outta yards
